Notre Canadien Vacance

Mark had 3-day seminar in Quebec city and we decided to extend it to make it a full vacation! It was also the perfect time to be in Quebec, as they were setting up to celebrate their 400-year anniversary of the city (celebrations started on the 18th)! We stayed at the Hilton in both Quebec and Montreal (his work paid through Wednesday, so pretty much half of our trip was paid for), although we didn't like the idea of funding Paris Hilton's wallet!

Our favorite traveler Rick Steves doesn't do Canadian guidebooks, so we had to do with a lesser guidebook. We had gotten used to Rick Steves' format.

Our first international trip with Marina. We got our first stamps in our new passports! It was funny seeing the customs agent react to Marina's passport, which has a 1-month photo of her! She's changed quite a bit since then!

Marina traveled really well on the flights to Quebec. She slept through the landing at Chicago (our first leg) and didn't even fuss for the second (and final) leg. Our second flight was 98% actuaries, so Mark had some good networking opportunities! Also, Marina was wearing a couple of her hats on this flight, which got a lot of attention!

Arriving really late Saturday night, we decided to stay in our hotel room and ordered room service. Tomorrow will be a full day for us!
