Leuce's Crafts
Quilting:
This is what I'm currently doing. I do everything by hand, and I'm self-taught. I've been quilting for over a year now. With four finished quilts under my belt, I am currently working on seven others. Some people call it patience, but I beg to differ - when I see a new pattern I like, I don't have the patience to finish my current project - that's why I have so many unfinished projects!
My favorite pattern is "A Trip Around the World." In this pattern, I use 4.5" squares, which makes piecing the top go so much faster. I've also done the "Carpenter's Wheel," and "Spools of Thread." I would love to do a log cabin quilt, and eventually start appliqueing; but right now, my quilts have that "scrappy" look. I'm also currently collecting various fabrics for future projects (I have so much fabric, I don't know what to do with them!)

Crocheting:
This is my "first" craft passion. I started crocheting in 1992. I've made several afghans (so many I don't have the room for them! I ran out of room way before I started quilting!). Again, I am self-taught in this art - I crochet using the "continental" method (sort of backwards - I hold the needle as if I'm knitting). I always liked watching my mother crochet, but she never really taught me.
My specialty is the granny square, but I've made several others. Just like in quilting, my favorite pattern is anything "scrappy" related. I would also love to learn how to tat (make lace).

Scrapbooking:
This is actually my second favorite hobby. When I was younger, I didn't really care for taking pictures - but now everywhere I go, my camera goes with me (I pretty much bug my husband about taking pictures all the time!).
I've already finished three scrapbooks . I just can't wait to get that film developed!
Cross-Stitching:
I got my start in cross-stitching at an early age. I think it was in second or third grade. I've done several cross-stitching projects, but not close as much as crocheting or quilting. However, one of my favorite projects I completed was a crocheted blanket that also involved some cross-stitching.
