Eastern Europe Vacation - 2005
Day 13

May 12, 2005

Our last day in Austria!

After yesterday's exhausting day, we decided to forego Vienna's other top sights (Opera House, Art Museum, and Treasury) to take it easy. We had brunch at Cafe Sperl, an historic coffee house. Nearby is Vienna's Nashmarkt, similar to our Farmer's Market back home.

We also walked around Stephansplatz for the last time (until our next Eastern European Vacation!) and finally was able to climb up St. Stephan's Cathedral's tower. We went up 343 steps, 220 feet high (not all the way up because of renovations). Back in Stephansplatz, we watched a street magician who happened to pick me out of the crowd to be his assistant - the first time that ever happened!
