Our last day in Lake Como!

We spent the first part of the day exploring our home base of Varenna. We walked along the waterfront (where we had our first gelato of our trip!) and took a hike towards Fiumelatte - The Milky Water, a town about a half mile south of Varenna. Along the hike, we walked through a hillside cemetery.

Afterwards, we went back to Bellagio for some horseback riding (my first time and Mark's second since he was about 10 years old). Lucas, the horses' owner was very nice. He even invited us into his home for some beer after some riding!

Back in Varenna, we just had enough time to race up the hill to the castle on the hilltop. Great views of the Lake and of Belaggio! There is a saying in Italian - Lake Como is a man with Colico the head, Lecco and Como the feet, and Bellagio the testicles!

For dinner, we went back to Piazza San Giorgio to look for a specific restaurant. We couldn't find it, so we went back to Victoria Grill for more pizza!
