The First Year
- At the Hospital (birth to 2 days). Those who were the first to see Marina: Mark's parents Roger and Kathy, Kellye Hebert (Mark Phillips would have visited too, but he was out of state), and Mark's brother Randy.
- February 2008 (back at home). Visits from Darren and Jeanne Holt; Mark Phillips (back from Houston, TX).
- March 2008 - Visits from Tom, Kimmy, and their baby Matthew; Scott Frank; Ted, Elise, Sydney, Charlie, and Savannah.
- April 2008 - Visits from Roger and Kathy; Roger and Kathy's 50th Anniversary party in Oakhurst; Yosemite; Santa Monica Pier and Reed Park aka Lincoln Park; Jeanne's and Darren's Baby Shower
- May 2008 - A relatively slow month in terms of activities, but still lots of pictures! Mother's day at Jeanne's and Darren's; Dodger game on the 25th; visit from the Kys: Tom, Kimmy, and Matthew;
- June 2008 - Marina's 4 months old! Get-together at Mark Phillips' and Kellye's; Marina's first vacation (Canada); our 10-year anniversary; Mark's first birthday...as a dad! The newest addition to the Shickler-Holt Family: James Alexander Holt
- July 2008 - 4th of July at Eric's & Tammy's, Ted's & Elise's; family get-together for Uncle Bob
- August 2008 - Visit with Uncle Dan in New York; Laguna Beach, Visit with the Holts: Jeanne, Darren, and baby James; Visit with Mark Phillips, Kellye Hebert
- September 2008 - Visit with the Millers: Justin, Deana, and baby Cole; Transamerica/Aegon employee day at Knott's Berry Farm
- October 2008 - Marina's first Hallows Eve! Visits with the Kys in Orange County as well as Ted y Elise
- November 2008 - Marina's first Primary Election; Marina's first Thanksgiving; Dan's new loft in Long Beach; visit from maternal grandparents; visit from Helena, Chelsey, and Christian; book-signing event with Earvin "Magic" Johnson at Barnes & Noble
- December 2008 - Marina's first Christmas! Cole Miller's First Birthday Party; Shickler Reunion at the Holts'; Christmas at Roger's & Kathy's; New Year's/Roger's 70th birthday party at Dan's.
- January 2009 - Matthew Ky's First Birthday Party; Marina standing on her own; Randy and Elena's 1-Year Anniversary Celebration; Savannah's Birthday party
The Second Year
- February 2009 - Marina's First Birthday Party; Clippers/Knicks basketball game; Mark's softball post-season game; our bathroom remodel; hike at Runyon Canyon.
- March 2009 - Santa Monica Pier and Beach; visit with Darren, Jeanne, and James; visit with Dan; Marina's first bike ride!
- April 2009 - Santa Monica Beach, Easter Sunday, Charlie's 10th Birthday Party, Dodgers vs Padres game
- May 2009 - Marina's first cruise (Alaskan) and visit with maternal grandparents in Kodiak!
- June 2009 - Bike ride with the Cyclone Cruisers in Long Beach with Dan, Randy, and Elena; City Race in Santa Monica; James Holts' first Birthday Party; Camping with Ted, Elise, Sydney, Charlie, Savannah, and Dan in South Carlsbad Beach; our 11-year anniversary!
- July 2009 - Hollywood Bowl; Kathy's 70th Birthday Party at the Holts'; Sydney's 12th Birthday Party; Coldplay Viva La Vida concert; Dodgers vs Marlins game.
- August 2009 - Marina's 18 months old! Mike & Renee's wedding; Oakhurst & Yosemite; Zander's First Birthday Party.
- September 2009 - San Diego Zoo with Tom, Kimmy, and Matthew; Taste of Santa Monica
- October 2009 - Our trip to Boston, Massachussets which includes Halloween in Salem
- November 2009 - Ice Skating in Santa Monica; visit from Marina's Arizona cousins: Chelsey and Christian, as well as her maternal grandparents; Thanksgiving at our place.
- December 2009 - Marina's First Christmas Tree; San Diego Zoo with the Kys.
- January 2010 - Visit from English cousin Joy and her son Karl (aka Mac-Mac/Double-Double); early 2nd Birthday celebration for Marina in our Lake Elsinore rental; visit with Marina's newest cousin Maxwell Drake Holt.
The Third Year
- February 2010 - Savannah's Birthday Party; Wine Tasting with Ted, Elise, and kids; Disneyland and California Adventure (Marina deleted these pics by accident).
- March 2010 - Taking it easy at home - no pics to show (Pics were deleted by accident again)
- April 2010 - Siena Yolanda born on the 20th (one day after due date, and one day before cousin Charlie's birthday!) Those who were the first to see Siena: Mark's parents and brother Dan, Mark Phillips and friend Gil.
- May 2010 - Adjusting to a newly expanded family - Marina has adjusted very well back at home!
- June 2010 - Family get-together in Laguna Woods (especially to visit with Mark's father Roger, who had recently injured his leg).
