Mark and Linda's Baby Shower - January 28, 2008
picsMark's coworkers at Transamerica hosted a luncheon and baby shower for us on January 28, 2008. Orly and Manaz (the master planners) managed to surprise both of us: I knew about the luncheon, but not the shower; Mark knew about the shower, but not the luncheon!
For the luncheon, Mark's boss Kathy held him up in a meeting in order to give people in the department time to set up and meet for the luncheon. Orly and Manaz provided the food. Mark had actually made a reservation for the two of us at The Palm restaurant during the time of the meeting, so we all joked that Mark was probably stressing out as the meeting wore on!
For the shower, Mark had tricked me into staying another hour. He told me that I needed to sign some insurance paperwork, but the appointment won't be until 2pm. At that time, Mark took me to the large conference room on the floor, where most of the people from the floor were already waiting for us! Again, Manaz did a wonderful job with the food! There was cake, strawberries, and punch for everyone!
