After sleeping for 17 hours (yes 17 hours!) We finally woke up after 5pm! We must have really needed the rest! Mark remembers getting up at 6am to go to the bathroom, then getting up and looking at his watch to see 5 o'clock on his watch! I woke up to hearing his utter shock at seeing the time!

We started our day having tapas at a place simply called Cerveceria. We really enjoyed our meal, even trying out some Sangria for the first time in Spain! Sangria is sweet wine with fruit in it (and it would be my favorite wine of the trip!).

After filling our stomachs, we decided to do Rick Steve's Ramblas Walk, taking us down Barcelona's famous Las Ramblas, very reminiscent of our own 3rd Street Promenade, but bigger, longer, and more lively! We stopped by Cafe de l'Opera for some wine, capuccino, and churro con chocolate (churros served with a very rich chocolate dipping sauce).

We continued past the Columbus Monument to the harbor where we had more tapas at Tapas Bar Mare Magnum.
